Hooks and Strings

 

 

This is a 3 minute short based on the style of Japanese Film-maker Yasujirō Ozu and his 1953 film Tokyo Story. It was created for the Film Aesthetics module on the Film Production course at the University of Gloucestershire.

The story is about two estranged Brothers who are attempting to bond after the loss of someone close by going out to fish. It deals with the theme of family, the main theme of Tokyo Story.
